First Day of School (Afternoon)
Part two of our first day of school.
12:30pm Kiani puts away the dishes. Ashleigh starts her vocabulary. I noticed that the recycling containers has fallen over and I decide to walk to the curb and pick it up. While I do that, I take Shadow (our doggie) out to go potty. As soon as I get back Kiani is ready for her next subject. Jason starts his Wordly Wise.
12:45pm I grade Jason’s and Ashleigh’s math. Ashleigh misses 3 problems. Jason misses 9 problems.
1:00pm Ashleigh moves on to Writing and Grammar 8 and Literature.
1:10pm I correct Ashleigh’s Daily Spark and encourage her to have a positive attitude even when thing are difficult. I noticed that Jason has disappear, I find him in the bathroom.
1:15pm Ashleigh finish reading her Literature and moves on to Science. Kiani is ready for her next subject.
1:30pm I have to warn Jason to stop playing around and do his work. He starts Daily Spark. Ashleigh finish reading her science. She decide to work on correcting her math and Writing & Grammar 8. She also rewrite Daily Spark.
2:00pm Kiani has finish with DVD’s part of school and start Keyboarding. Ashleigh reads her Daily Spark to me.
2:05pm Kiani asks for help. I try to help her but I don’t understand what they want her to do. I will ask hubby to help her and me when he gets him. Kiani decide to go get the mail. She will do her Keyboarding after Daddy helps her.
2:10pm Jason and Ashleigh start History. I explain how to do current events since we will be doing one every week.
2:20pm Kiani decides to start her homework part of her school.
2:50pm I decide to check e-mail and IM hubby about the Keyboarding class. The children have an afternoon snack. Jason and Ashleigh have a yogurt. Kiani is hungry because she didn’t eat much at lunch. She has leftover pizza. Ashleigh says her foot is hurting her. I have her ice it.

3:15pm I have remind Jason to stay on track again. After numerous warnings, Jason gets grounded for the rest of the day. (Grounding means no electronics–no X-box, T.V., and computer).
3:25pm Ashleigh goes and takes a shower. Her school day is done. Jason and I do a science lesson. It is an easy day for science. Kiani is working on her memory verse.
3:45pm Jason finishes his work he didn’t finish early. (Because I do some subject with both Jason and Ashleigh, he had to stop what he was working to do other subjects. Otherwise, Ashleigh would be waiting to finish her day).

4:00pm Ashleigh asks if she could play on the computer. I tell her yes. Jason reads his literature. Then he reads the introduction pages of Writing and Grammar 7. I try to help with Kiani with a math problem.
This was our afternoon but I day doesn’t end there……
