First Day of School (Evening)
And the day continues……
4:15pm Jason finishes his Writing and Grammar 7. He begins to complain about doing Daily Spark. He decides to do his math corrections instead of Daily Spark.
4:30pm Math corrections are done. Jason moves on to Wordly Wise, then he will do his Daily Spark. Kiani calls for help. We decide it would better to ask Daddy for help on her math. (His major in college was math). She moves on to Physics.
5:30pm Jason’s school day is finally done. He does his afternoon chores. Ashleigh and I play on the computer.
5:40pm Time to make dinner. Jason asks if he could visit the neighbor’s horses. I tell him he can.
5:50pm Kiani is reading in her Physics book and let’s me know what the definition for weight is. Weight is how much gravitational force exerted on an object. I must have a lot of gravitational force exerted on me because I am short and round.
6:00pm Jason comes back and complains there is nothing to do. Dinner is ready.
6:45pm Dinner is done. Dishes are in dishwasher. Peace and quiet at last. I take the time to surf the net.
7:05pm Kiani is finish with her work and she going to use the computer until Daddy gets home.
7:30pm Hubby is home. He usually doesn’t come home this late but he decide to stop off at Lowe’s before he came home.
7:45pm While Hubby eats dinner he helps Kiani with her math. Jason, Ashleigh and I pack lunches for tomorrow.
8:15pm Ashleigh and Jason ask if they could watch the last few minutes of Fooled by Nature. I tell them yes and remind Jason that I am giving him grace on his grounding.
8:30pm Jason and Ashleigh get ready for bed. I decide to watch Jon & Kate Plus 8 while everyone is busy.
8:45pm Prayer with children. Hubby does this with the children every night.
8:50pm I spend the next 5 minutes with Jason on how he can improve his day.
9:00pm Jason and Ashleigh are in bed for the night. Hubby explains the Keyboarding class to Kiani and I.
9:20pm Kiani gets ready for bed. Finally time alone with Hubby. We talk until 11pm then climb in bed.
11pm Good night everyone.

Wow! How do you manage such a long school day? Is this usual? I would be pulling my hair out, not having real down time. I wish I had this stamina, but neither my kids nor I do. It works best for us to focus and attack to be done in 4-5, then have free time.

Thank you for the comment. No, this is not an usual day for us. We are trying a new curriculum for my 12th grader. It does take longer than what we are used to. The second day went a lot easier. We were done by about 4-5. I hoping we won’t have many more days like our first day. I don’t know if I could keep up. I planning on writing a blog of our typical day but we haven’t one yet. Every day have been different.
