Banana Bread and Fire Alarms
Today, I decided to make banana bread because the bananas were going bad. This is one of my family’s favorite treats. While they children did their schoolwork, I went to work making the bread. After baking for about 45 minutes, every alarm went off in the house. All of our smoke alarms are wired into the house, which means if one goes off, they all go off. I don’t know why they went off. The bread was not burning. It actually came out perfect. To get the alarms to stop, we had to disconnect each one. That took about 10 minutes to do. I can still hear the ringing in my ears. When hubby came home, he had a job to do. He had to go reconnect all the alarms. That was our exciting day.

No, we didn’t. The weird part is that this was the second time this happen.

Well, while I feel bad about the fire alarm going off, you do make really good banana bread! Next time you might try giving the fire alarm a piece of banana bread. Maybe it’s just making noise because it smells good? =;)
