Tackle it Tuesday

I have been trying to make as much as I can homemeade. Today, my son and I made some chocolate covered strawberries. I looked on the internet and found that chocolate covered strawberries cost about the starting price of $25.00 for a dozen. I made them for less than $5.00 dollars. It is so simple I don’t understand why do people charge so much. Here is the recipe:
Chocolate Covered Strawberries
1 bag (12oz) of Nestle Semi-sweet chocolate (must be Nestle, Hershey doesn’t melt well)
12 large strawberries
Melt chocolate in a microwave stir every 30 seconds until melted. (My microwave took about three minutes.) Once chocolate is melted, dip strawberries in chocolate and let cool on waxed paper. You can place them in the refrigator to cool faster. Here is a picture of the results.

This is a family treat we enjoy also. It is easy, inexpensive and the kids have a fun time doing it. Great tackle!
