    I would have to say that one of my favorite periods of time is the WWII era. :) Seems that was the last time our country was truly the United States!

    WWII is one of my favorite periods also it is after I get a fuzzy about. I guess it is because nothing major happen after that until the 60′s Thank you for the comment.

    I agree with you about love is being with family. I spend all day with mine. You are better at your history than me. I’m really into the pioneer time period and have read some good historical fiction books about the pioneer families moving west. Reading historical fiction to the kids is fun for me.

    Maine. No – I haven’t read those books or seen the movies, but I’ve heard of them. Last summer, I read the first 2 books of The Kinship and Courage Series by Jane Kirkpatrick. All Together in One Place was my favorite – about women going west together. I learned a lot of interesting historical things in that one.
