Be Thankful.

I am so excited about this week. To me it is the start of the Christmas season. I love Christmas. I love the fact it is a time to honor God and all his glory. It also seems to me that everyone is a little nicer. People are a little more happier and everyone is more giving. This year I think it is really important to be a little more giving to those in need. On Sunday, our wonderful Pastor gave a beautiful sermon on being thankful for what we have and to be thankful for everything. Yes. EVERYTHING. Wow, that’s a big one. The amazing part it is in the Bible. Ephesians 5:20 …always giving thanks to God the Father for everything, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ. That’s means for be thankful for all he done for us. Some the examples that our Pastor gave are ….

  1. Being thankful for the job you have, even if it is not your dream job.
  2. Be thankful for the home and food you have, because others don’t have that luxury.
  3. Be thankful things that go wrong in your life. (example: a flat tire. That flat tire could have prevented you from getting in car accident.)
  4. For the people around you. So, many people are lonely especially during the holidays.

This was an eye-opener for me. I was so move by this. It is easy to forget to be thankful in everything. I am planning to read this verse everyday and remember to be thankful in everything.

Thank Pastor Fred for a beautiful sermon.
