Menu Plan

Feeding my family healthy meals is very important to me. I try and make sure all food groups are meet. It does not always happen. I try to follow a general rule of eating 80/20. That means we try to eat healthy 80 percent of time. I believe it is okay to have something not so good for you every once in awhile. I try to included a fruit or vegetable in every meal. I also try include all the food groups. I don’t always list all that we eat during the day. I have three teenager who seems to be eating all the time. We are going have a few repeats from last week because on Saturday we went out for dinner. My Hubby surprised us and took us out a dinner and a movie. This is our menu for this week….

Monday
Breakfast – Omelets
Lunch -  Fish Sandwich
Dinner -Gyros

Tuesday
Breakfast – Pancakes
Lunch – Egg Salad Sandwiches
Dinner -Stroganoff with Meatballs

Wednesday
Breakfast – Oatmeal or Cereal
Lunch – Tuna Sandwiches
Dinner -Meatball Subs

Thursday – Thanksgiving
Breakfast – Strawberry Filled Crepes
Lunch – Turkey, Gravy, Stuffing, Mashed Potatoes, Green Beans, Corn on the Cob, Cranberry Sauce, Salad, and Dinner Rolls
Dinner – Dessert Apple pie, Pumpkin Pie, Carrot Cake Cupcakes

Friday
Breakfast – Fruit Parfait
Lunch – Turkey Sandwiches
Dinner – Chicken Wonton Soup

Saturday
Breakfast – Egg Nog French Toast
Lunch – Roasted London Broil with Vegetable
Dinner – Turkey Caesar Salad

Sunday
Breakfast – Cereal
Lunch – Steak Tacos
Dinner – Potato Chowder

    Wow! Great and thorough meal plan! I like that you include breakfasts and lunches as well – maybe I’ll add that at some point :) . I like the 80/20 rule as well!

    Looks good! I try to remind myself of the 80/20 rule when I slip up, and it’s helped me a lot. I’m doing that for Thanksgiving actually – 80% of my meal will be good, 20% won’t. Luckily I’m not big on the typical desserts (I don’t like pumpkin or pecan pie) – it’s the mashed potatoes and bread that I go for. :) But I’m making biscotti since they are such a good 80% choice for me.

    Oh my, egg nog french toast – why have I never thought of that!!! We try to follow the 80/20, 90/10 rule as well. Life is too short to be stressed about 100%!

    I have three teenagers (boys) too! It seems like I’m always cooking, and the two younger children are rapidly approaching those teen years as well. Ugh.
