The Return to Normal

October 30th, 2008

We are trying to get everything back to normal but that won’t happen for a little more longer. As soon as I got back my Darling hubby had to go on a business trip. This trip has been plan for awhile. The good news while I was gone my Darling hubby had to play many roles. He did a great job. Now it is my turn to play all the roles. I can’t wait until we can be on the same page and be a family together again. Here is a picture of the love of my life.

Home Sweet Home

October 24th, 2008

I am finally home again. It is the most wonderful feeling to be home with my family.  Thank you everyone for all your prayers and support. My parents are also back home and doing well. My father had a massive heart attack and needed six by-passes. It is a miracle from God that he even survived. My mother who suffers from diabetes is also improving everyday. It is funny how much you appreciate what you have when you don’t have it. As I look back, I realized my family has been through a lot this year and God has always been there for us. Through him we have draw closer to each other.

Family Emergency part II

September 28th, 2008

I am back in West Virginia again. This time, it is for my father. I have been feeling every kind of emotion. I just wanted to let everyone know, I thank you for your prayers and love. When you have both parents in the hospital, it gets a little overwhelming. I will try to keep an update of everything. Thank you again.

Back to Normal

September 9th, 2008

I think I finally got my life back in ordered. I am a person that likes everything in its proper place. After my emergency trip to West Virginia, I came home to a clean house. My dear sweet hubby made sure that everything was back to the way I like it. It was nice.  Our oldest daughter started college the day after we got back and I had to get back to homeschooling our other two children.  Hubby did a great job being a temporary teacher. There were a few quizzes missed but we quickly got them caught up. There were grocery to buy. My hubby does not like the grocery stores and only went when they needed milk. He didn’t need to buy anything else until I got back. I pre-made their dinners.  I hate to say but our bill was a little high this week. I was buying for two weeks (10 days to be exact). I spent more than we budget for. The total for this month so far is $390.00. Last month, I came close to my goal. The total for last month’s grocery was $889.00. That is down from the $1200-$1500 before but I am still working to lower it even more. My goal is to only spend $150 a week. My husband budgets for $200.00 a week. I am glad I have that cushion. I am so grateful for a loving and supported family.

Web Cams

September 5th, 2008

I am excited to tell you about my family’s web cams. This is a great way to communicate with family and friends! Kiani and I had to go to West Virginia for a family emergency, and we were still able to talk -and see- the rest of my family.  The web cam is really easy to install. I just had to plug it into my computer. We run ours through Skype, which is free. Web cams can cost as little as $30.00. The one that we bought cost $100.00.

The one my mom has is just as good but the picture quality is not as strong as ours. Her web cam only cost $30.00.

Here are some the images that our web cam captured. The web cam that I have can take regular pictures.

This is my hubby and our daughter talking on the webcam.

They are available all over the place. I got my at Staples, but you can also get them on Amazon.com.
